From amazing landscapes and nature, sophisticated designs to raw emotions and cruder urban imagery – photography is like another language. Brilliantly insightful, simple and complex at the same time.
Capturing memories and experiences from the everyday rush is one of my motivations. I find it therapeutic. You can see my latest pictures on Flickr.
Barcelona
There are usually more surfers than impressive waves in Barceloneta. On one winter Sunday many of them were making the most of the strong wind and the morning sun.
Although Barcelona’s Port Vell tends to be filled with tourists early mornings are an opportunity to enjoy the rising sun and admire the views without many people around.
Madrid
A trip to the capital, a friend who can show me the sights and a surprise meeting with another friend followed by an evening in lively bars of MalasaƱa was what I needed to remind myself about the big city life.
London
Sometimes it takes your parents to visit so you go back to the places you would not normally explore and feel like a tourist in your own city. Sometimes a new lens, to be able to make the most of the light during short winter days. That was the case at the end of 2013 when I briefly visited my friends, favourite galleries and got soaked in the rain. There were no surprises about the weather but hey.. London I still miss you a lot!
Stockholm
During my break in this beautiful but frosty city, flavours and colours were dominated by cinnamon and saffron. I must admit, Stockholm is such a Northern charmer. Despite powerful cyclone Xaver hitting that part of Europe this particular weekend and temperatures dropping below zero I had a wonderful time with my friend. She guided me through small streets of Gamla Stan and showed me the coolest bars of SoFo. On Sunday morning, both warmly wrapped and wearing double gloves, we reached a conclusion that Swedish people do not feel the cold. At all! We just came across too many runners and fitness enthusiasts to think any different.
Nha Trang
This photograph is my personal favourite. Nha Trang’s skyline, Vinepearl’s cable car, amazing clouds and majestic mountains were a perfect backdrop.
Halong Bay
Halong Bay, in the northeast part of Vietnam, also known as the Bay of the Descending Dragon includes hundreds of limestone islands and islets that form a spectacular seascape impossible to forget.
Pokhara
Pokhara is a lakeside gem in the Western Hills of Nepal. It is a truly special place and I would recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Asia.
