El Caminito del Rey – Walking the path of the King

My recent trip to Malaga wasn’t only about catching some winter sun. There was also some thrill seeking agenda attached to it! I wanted to finally walk the Caminito del Rey, also known in English as the King’s Little Path. It’s a suspended hiking trail along a high and spectacular gorge. The Gaitanes Gorge is a canyon, carved by the river Guadalhorce.

Havana – Cuba’s Bustling Capital

Vintage cars and amazing live music

I heard mixed and rather polarised opinions about Cuban capital. They were ranging from “you’re going to love it” to “don’t spend too much time there – it’s awful”! Known as the Pearl of the South, Cienfuegos featured on my travel itinerary from day one. It’s located on the Caribbean coast of south central Cuba. It was a perfect stop for my friend Zofia and I on the way to Havana from Trinidad.

Parque Jose Marti

Parque Jose Marti

The city dates back to 1819. Although located in Spanish territory, it was a home to many settlers from Bordeaux and French colonies such as Louisiana. That French style and elegance are definitely visible until today. Continue Reading

The Ore Mountains

Trying cross-country skiing for the first time in the magical winter wonderland was certainly not only one of my travel but also sport highlights. Massive thanks go to my friends for their fantastic support, patience and a helping hand when picking me up from a pile of snow.
