Marrakesh is vibrant, exciting and famous for its palaces, mosques and gardens. Situated at the foot of the Atlas Mountains with a densely packed medina it has a lot of unexpected beauty and charm. I had my heart set on visiting it for a long time and would recommend making Marrakesh and Morocco your travel destination. Here are my recommendations and tips that might come useful to turn it into even more memorable experience.
Vintage cars and amazing live music
I heard mixed and rather polarised opinions about Cuban capital. They were ranging from “you’re going to love it” to “don’t spend too much time there – it’s awful”! Slightly confusing to say the least, it made me want to see Havana even more. Especially that it was the last stop of the Cuban trip with my friend Zofia.
Scorching heat and stunning architecture. These would be my two main memories from Cienfuegos if someone asked me today about visiting this port town. Known as the Pearl of the South, Cienfuegos featured on my travel itinerary from day one. It’s located on the Caribbean coast of south central Cuba. It was a perfect stop for my friend Zofia and I on the way to Havana from Trinidad.
The city dates back to 1819. Although located in Spanish territory, it was a home to many settlers from Bordeaux and French colonies such as Louisiana. That French style and elegance are definitely visible until today. Continue Reading

With the year coming to an end, it is time to start thinking about the new countries and travel destinations to explore in 2018.
I hope that maybe my 2017 highlights will inspire you. I know for sure that I will revisit some of these places.

The Ore Mountains
Trying cross-country skiing for the first time in the magical winter wonderland was certainly not only one of my travel but also sport highlights. Massive thanks go to my friends for their fantastic support, patience and a helping hand when picking me up from a pile of snow.
